Hi everyone, I wanted to let you know that, after 29 weeks by my counting, I’ll be taking a hiatus from the weekly Revelation newsletters for a little while. Something else creative in me is seeking to emerge, and I wish to create the space to listen to it. I still have the intention to make it all the way through the book, and we’re only in chapter six! Plus, the astonishingly erudite Catherine Keller has just released a book about Revelation and the climate crisis. So, stay subscribed to this list if you wish to be updated when the next installation arrives, or for what the new project (whatever it is) might be. In the meantime, I’m so grateful for your company, thoughtful reading, and your comments during this apocalyptic exploration. Take good care and keep in touch!

Mark, I appreciate your words each week. Revelation is tolerable with your help. i did get and read "See no Stranger" Wow! Thanks for the suggestion. I had just read Caste before that. am 82 and a De La Salle Christian Brother (Roman Catholic Lay-Religious). I am a live-in volunteer at our nursing home in Lincroft,, NJ. I'm still a help! Also I have a 'book circle' that meets weekly with some lay folks from the area. We read together spiritual books like Richard Rohr's and Cynthia Bourgeault's.
I ask for three readings: one before I read to them and one after I read to them. We stop over what I or they need to look at. It is really group spiritual direction. I am a 40 year novice of centering prayer and find my' contemplative sit' extending since the pandemic and my retirement. I am loving spring. I originally am from Blackinton MA and many of my relatives worked at Williams College. My aunt Catherine Winn was the Assistant Registrar. She never worked anywhere else. I'm a 'mountain man.' My last ministry was facilitating a small retreat house in Narragansett, RI. Thanks for your 'Ordinary Mystic' thoughts. I look forward to whatever is next! your brother, John McMahon
